The Debate

When we were down town this week I went into the ladies room at the restaurant, something I almost never do, use a public bathroom and no Dr. Freud we won't be discussing this, when  I noticed that they had the toilet paper coming off backwards.  I'm a firm believer that toilet paper should come off the front of the roll not the back.  It was only my distaste for touching anything in a public bathroom that I don't have to touch  that kept me from switching it around.  And it's bothered me ever since, guess I should have changed it.

  1. So long as the tissue tears off where it is supposed to I cannot see a problem ?

  2. I had a post about this a few years ago and most people favoured B. We have our toilet roll in the A position.

  3. Moving it would simply have caused someone else to move it back so someone else could move it....

  7. Yes it should definitely come off the front but wrong way round is not as bad as those strange box dispensers where you can't actually grasp the paper inside and end up with small scraps if you are lucky.

  8. I am afraid I belong to the 'coming off the back' brigade. If anyone visits one of our bathrooms and has to put up a new roll, it drives me mad until I get to change it. The world must be divided into forwarders and backwarders.

  9. This is hilarious. My daughter started a discussion of this on FB last week. All her cousins [an opinionated lot!] joined in, as well as friends. The general consensus was that the paper should come over from the back to front, so that what one is touching hasn't been handled by the previous user--with which I agree.
We all have our quirks about such things!

  10. I have seen this discussion many times and I have to check again every time which way I prefer. LOL. So hilarious that we can get upset about such a little thing, right?

    Have a good day,

  11. LOL! I had no idea until about a year ago Christmas when my daughters informed me my tp was hung wrong. Who knew there was a right and wrong. I haven't gone so far as to fix it anywhere else though!
