Saturday in the Swamp

My Lifesaver
It's almost noon, going to be about 95º today, so what have I managed to get done.  I walked about 2 miles before breakfast and then jumped in the pool, did a load of laundry and pegged it out, made a loaf of bread and "waxed" the family room floor with Mop and Glow.
Now I'm off to Amazon to find some small lampshades, one of mine has bit the dust.
Then it's exercise time, piano practice, sort out the laundry from yesterday and jump back in the pool. Not too bad for an old lady.

  1. You have made me feel guilty... I have spent the majority of the day hanging out on the internet! All those things you've done? Yup, I have to get moving! My list of things to do mirrors yours! I enjoyed the posts of your trip... lovely photos! Enjoy the rest of your day :)

  2. Not too bad at all. I think I'd have spent the full day in the pool if we had that heat.

  4. Phew! 95! I'd be in the pool too and never mind mopping the floor!
Still, here's hoping you enjoy your weekend!

  5. I took care of thehamish, food, meds and playtime.
exercised in the pool and then took a 2 1/2 hour nap because even with the sun shade over the pool the heat was just so hot and a nap was needed.
What you did in one day I would be happy if I did that in one week.

    cheers, parsnip and thehamish

  6. 114 degrees here today :) We did manage to get out and do some sightseeing and furniture shopping. Would have taken a dip in the pool but rented a movie instead :)

  7. I'm very jealous of your pool! It's hot here but being in the UK that's quite a rare event... Hope you had a lovely afternoon!

  8. Far exceeds my expectations of today's ninety plus degrees, though we have bought some groceries and bought a tree and two woolie thymes for the garden. They will not be planted until the heat breaks, early next week, for a day.

    1. It won't break here until some time in September, if we're lucky.

  9. Jolly hard work it sounds to me - but I must say that pool looks inviting and would tempt me away from most jobs.
